The four Sask Crop Commissions including: SaskWheat, SaskCanola, SaskBarley and SPG work independently but collaborate together to bring on -farm research throughout SK. Each with their own program:
Wheat Wise by SaskWheat
Top Notch Farming by SaskCanola
PROFIT by SPG
the BarleyBin Field Lab by SaskBarley
WARC is contracted by each commission to be project lead. There are 16 protocols and 82 sites throughout the four programs in Saskatchewan. WARC coordinates with the commissions, agronomist and producers to create protocols and datasheets, answer any questions and analyze the year-end data.
WARC and the Sask Crop Commissions work with producers and agronomists throughout the province. The agronomists assist the producer in set up, initiation and data collection of the trial. While the producer uses their own equipment, field and inputs to conduct the trial. This allows both producer and agronomist to see research results using their own equipment, agronomic practices, fields and environment.
